A day of interviews, bookshops, libraries & galleries

Yesterday I had my interview for a placement at Dazed and Confused magazine (stage one of Live Project activation), I think it went well but still waiting for confirmation of which dates they can have me.

I then visited Artwords Bookshop, a treasure trove of creative magazines and books. I will definitely be visiting there again and if I have time might ask the nice shop assistant if she wants to fill in my project questionnaire. I pricked up the lastest copy of LCF's Pigeons & Peacocks, which has shifted format from a glossy to broadsheet/poster. I really like the design and content but I'm a bit confused why it's designed by Why Not Associates and not by the students UAL...hmm

Next stop was 72 Rivington Street the YCN gallery/library, whilst it was smaller than I anticipated the selection of resources to borrow was great and I was allowed to borrow issue 1 of Rubbish magazine for 2 weeks there are then. How kind!

Then on to Kemistry gallery for the Hvass&Hannibal private view. Their use of colour is beautiful, given me inspiration as to ways of approaching information design for this project.
